It will be truly sad this Halloween. The character lends itself perfectly to a Halloween getup, but EVERYONE will be doing the same. That takes so much away from the style of the costume. Unless I was wearing one of the actual costumes worn by Ledger in the film, I would feel like a tool.
i have been invited to a halloween party thrown by the man who runs my comic shop. i know most of the people who are going, and i know most of them are too smart to dress as the joker. however i do know one man who has 3 sons who ALL want to be the joker (these are children so im leaning on forgivness but im just not able to) and i know there are a few douchenozzels that will inevetibly show up all dressed in purple with makeup smeared all over themselves. im working on getting him to ban people from coming like that but hes very laid back and doesnt care much.
I would like no-one to dress as the Joker this Halloween because I would like to be the only person who's the joker this year. Failing that, I will have to dress as the Crow again.
A good 2 face costume would be a much better choice for but it would take a lot of work to look good and you wouldn't be dressed as a white faced dead guy. (like the Crow or The Joker)
The trouble with everyone dressing like the joker means that he could to a really serious crime and just disappear into the throng of skinny white arseholes, smacking their lips smek smek in between words smek to make things dead dramat-smek-ic and yet kooky. HE IS TROUBLE I SAY As for yrnmbr1dfndr, saying that kids can dress as the joker and that adults cannot is like advocating Hitler Youth, shame on you I shall be dressing up as a griffin.

I'm worried that Kris may try and dress as The Joker. He is a complete toolbox.

I know what you mean, though I saw more Scream outfits than Jokers.
